FAQ for Trek

First, and importantly, there will be no cell coverage available where we will be

most, if not all, of the trek experience. Having said that, it is recognized that cell

phones are the most convenient way to take pictures of the amazing views and

experiences we will be having during the Trek!

Additionally, cell phones will also

provide a very small and easy way to access the scriptures for use during family

and group devotionals and firesides. For this reason, youth may bring a cell phone

for these purposes, but they are strongly encouraged to limit any other use of

these devices during this short and uniquely powerful experience. Also –

In making the

decision about whether to bring a device or not, youth and parents should consider

how it will be kept clean and protected, limitations on battery life, etc. There will

not be any equipment available to youth to charge or recharge their phones on the Trek.

members of the church from other stakes.

However, non-member friends who are willing to follow the rules and guidelines

associated with the Trek are absolutely welcome to join with us! Please let a

member of your bishopric know as early in the process as possible if a

For the most part, no. However, the organizers of the Trek will be prayerful in

making these family assignments, and if special circumstances exist, those

circumstances can be taken into account. Keep in mind that one of the best parts

of the Trek will be the formation of new friendships that often begin with being

assigned to families with people our youth may not know well before the Trek.

Most of the people on the Trek will wake up around 7:00 am, and most will be
